Towns
La Sabina is the only port in Formentera,  in addition to the trading port there are two marinas: Marina de Formentera and Formentera Mar

San Francisco Javier is the capital of the island. Here is the Town Hall of Formentera. It is essential to visit the church, built as a fortress in the 18th  century and used to shelter from the pirates. You should not miss a visit to the Ethnological Museum, where you will find all sorts of ancient tools, traditional musical instruments, clothes from the past, etc. If you like art, you will surely find something interesting in the three exhibition halls.

San Fernando, in the centre of the island, is the second town as far as population is concerned. The church belongs to the late 19th  century.

Es Pujols is the most important tourist resort in Formentera. A wide range of tourist activities is available : hotels, apartments, shops, bars and restaurants, all the services you may need.

Es Caló is a picturesque fishing village with its small pier and the old wood cabins for the boats.

At La Mola, which belongs to El Pilar,  the church will capture your attention: it was built in the typical Ibiza style between the late 18th  and the early 19th  centuries.
